Continental Knitting: Knit a Scarf
Knitting is not only a great survival skill. The repetitive motion of knitting makes it a natural stress reducer; gentle hand movements prevent and relieve arthritis. Use a Continental approach, which is faster than American because you work with only one hand. Learn it all--from deciphering most common pattern abbreviations to finishing the last stitch of your scarf. Great for gift giving too! NOTE: Scarf yarn will be discussed during the first class and is to be purchased before the second meeting. Right-handed knitting will be taught, although instruction will be modified for left-handers.
